About the content

As the name points out, this blog shows crafting works related to the knotting of strings and cords. This art is known by many names like Scoubidou, Scoubi, Boondoggle, Rex-lace or Paracord.

Scoubidou was created in France in the 1950's and spread by many countries, currently that term is associated to decorative works and a specific kind of strings, like the ones I used on my miniatures.

Some are also known as Paracord, adopting the name of the cords used to make them, Paracord usually refers to works with more useful purposes, rather than decorative ones.

There are also some knots known by their own name, that can be made on many kinds of cords, such as globe knots, monkey's fists and Turkish heads
